Almost every business person I talk wants to know "How do I make money on Twitter?" And the simple answer is, "The same way you make money when attending an offline social function (e.g. luncheons for civic/business organizations, parties, art openings, etc.)--by networking."
Consider this story about Coffee Groundz, a Houston coffee shop that used to Twitter to double its clientele, including using Twitter's direct-message feature to transform both its in-store experience & drive-thru service.
