Talking Twitter and Jobs with Local TV News

Talking Twitter and Jobs with Local TV News from Hal Thomas on Vimeo.

This morning, BFG Communications' Sloane Kelley and I had the chance to talk Twitter and jobs with Jessica Kiss of WJCL and TheCoastalSource.com. It was nice to meet a traditional TV reporter who is clued in to what's happening in social media. Jessica is a stark contrast to Lyndy, the in-studio anchor, who leads out of the segment by recommending that viewers protect themselves by setting up "puppets" online (his word for fake identities; the antithesis of everything social media strives for).

You can read more of Jessica's reporting on this story here, or find more details on the back story of How I Landed My New Job Using Twitter here
